The Brief
Authentic British Savile Row Tailor, Stowers Bespoke, are famous for their bespoke suit services. Historically having little need for advertisement due to high retention rates and recommendations, Savile Row was changing, and the younger markets were no longer considering the bespoke options, turning to the high-end brands on Bond Street. Identifying an opportunity to grow its offering, Stowers approached Blimey to deliver its rebrand complete with a new identity, website design and build, retail shop refit and launch event.
The Solution
As one of the last few remaining true tailors on Savile Row, it was important that the rebrand was sympathetic to Stowers existing bespoke services, whilst making room for a new commercially aware ‘Made to Measure’ option. Identifying two primary target markets, Blimey capitalised on the reputable brand name which was vital for the acquisition of new clients, whilst adding a modern crisp look and feel to the new identity to ensure appeal. The clean new London font matched with the sharp lines and flag cut clean in half reflected the tailors craftsmanship, offering a nod back to its heritage whilst offering a contemporary twist.
Once the identity was established, designs were rolled out across a suite of supporting online and offline assets including a website design and build that would ensure the rebrand met its new target market where they often were – online. A retail shop design and fit, guaranteed the rebrand was ready for its launch event, whilst a photoshoot with its new target market in mind, created a set of supporting visuals that would identify with the younger made to measure market.
The Results
Endorsed by England Rugby player Danny Care, the new forward thinking brand launched with great success, gaining valuable column inches in the national press including GQ magazine, London Evening Standard and Hello Magazine.
